Conservation Impact

Imagine if your eco holiday could help conserve Australia’s incredible wildlife and natural areas. Well it can!

Conservation Volunteers is Australasia’s leading not-for-profit conservation organisation. With over 30 years operating experience and 30 offices located around Australia and New Zealand our contribution to protecting and enhancing our natural environment and cultural heritage is extensive. Each year over 1.3 million volunteer hours support the conservation of Australia’s unique wildlife and their habitats.

Our practical hands-on approach to conservation means we remove marine debris, regenerate local habitats for wildlife, control pests and weeds, undertake wildlife research, maintain conservation fences, tracks and trails, and activate threatened species recovery. In the past twelve months, through your support, we have

  •  Planted over 1,000,000 trees
  •  Collected 1,292 tonnes of rubbish
  •  Maintained and established 800km of tracks
  •  Collected over 2 tonnes of native seeds
  •  Delivered 2,383 wildlife and environmental surveys

Our work and achievements have been recognised through many significant national awards, including six Banksia Awards, the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Community Business Partnerships, ecotourism and sustainability awards and the United Nations Global 500 Roll of Honour.
